ICpEP-SG Chapter formed an Innovation and Research group to explore and formulate technical and policy studies in Information Technology Engineering that will lead to the further development of the IT Engineering discipline and Industry. This includes the studies of the future of Jobs in the 4th Industrial Revolution and challenge the existing beliefs and norms in the IT Engineering discipline.

The Innovation and Research group is also tasked to produce a Computer Engineers Book-of-Knowledge (CpEBOK). An Industry based book for Professional Computer Engineers and IT Practitioners that contains the Industry expected knowledge and skills, industry cases and solutions, cyber-security laws, professional ethics and other related topics that the industry needs.
